Chippenham care business in beautiful Edwardian property now sold as owners retire
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of The Priory Care Home in Chippenham, Wiltshire.
The Priory is a popular care business that is registered for 24 elderly residents. It occupies an impressive Grade II Listed Edwardian period property that has been extended and improved over the years to now include 18 en-suite bedrooms and five care apartments. The home is located not far from Chippenham’s town centre, in a predominantly residential area with good access to the town and immediate surroundings.
The home has been owned by Mark and Judith Allworth since 2004 and was brought to market to allow them to fully retire from the sector having sold their previous home, Arden House Nursing Home, in 2023.
Following a confidential sales process with Simon Harvey at Christie & Co, The Priory has been purchased by first-time buyer, Vishal Chandnani.
Mark Allworth, former owner of The Priory, comments, “We purchased The Priory in 2004 when I left the IT industry. It was our first move into the care industry, as it now has been for Vishal.
