A highly profitable year-round hotel business situated on Clacton’s seafront has been placed on the market through the Ipswich Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co.
The Esplanade Hotel is located on Marine Parade East and is a substantial property, which has been extended and upgraded over the years and is one of the most prominent buildings on the seafront. There are 30 letting bedrooms; 29 with en suite and one with a dedicated bathroom, a restaurant/dining room for 85 covers, a bar, a lounge with a dance floor, which can accommodate around 80 and a one-bedroom self contained owner’s flat.
Tim Gooding, from Christie + Co’s Ipswich Office, who is handling the sale, commented; “The business has been owned and operated by the vendors since 2001 and is a commercial and tourist hotel, which is rated 2 Star by the AA and the ETC. The hotel has a very good reputation for wedding ceremonies, wedding functions and has a number of bookings for 2009, with a wedding fayre also held every year. Additionally, the hotel also conducts evening functions with entertainment. This is a substantial and highly profitable business opportunity.”
Offers in excess of £1,100,000 are being sought for the freehold interest of the Esplanade Hotel.
