Christie + Co finds new tenants for a historic hotel business in Selkirkshire on behalf of Punch Taverns
Acting on behalf of Punch Taverns, the Edinburgh Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, has found new tenants for the Clovenfords Hotel, which is situated in the attractive Selkirkshire village of Clovenfords, near Galashiels.
The hotel is a very historic property, with connections dating back to Sir Walter Scott and enjoys a prominent trading position on Vine Street in the heart of the village. The property is believed to date back from the late 18th Century and is a stone-built building, with a modern extension to the rear, and comprises six letting bedrooms, a lounge bar, a public bar, an 80-cover conservatory restaurant and separate owner’s accommodation.
Ken Sims, Director of Christie + Co’s Edinburgh Office, commented; “The new tenants of the Clovenfords Hotel are Michael and Michelle Dixon. The property is extremely well appointed and has a strong all-round business, which presents an excellent opportunity for these two experienced operators.”
No premium was sought for this leasehold business.
