New owners sought for a town house hotel situated within Britain’s only coastal national park
This news item was issued when the business featured was for sale. Please contact the relevant office to check on its current availability.
The Bristol Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, has been appointed to handle the sale of a prominently sited sea front town house hotel in Tenby, with stunning views of Caldey Island and the surrounding coastline.
The Panorama Hotel fronts onto the Esplanade and was built during the Victorian era. The property has undergone a programme of updating over the last few years and briefly comprises a bar/reception area, an attractive 24-cover dining room with sea views and eight well presented en suite letting bedrooms. The front rooms have stunning sea views and there is also a further two-bedroom self-contained flat on the top floor, again with stunning sea and coastal views. In addition there is self-contained three-bedroom owner’s accommodation located on the lower ground floor.
Tenby is regarded as one of the country’s most attractive holiday resorts and is an ideal centre for touring Pembrokeshire and Britain’s only coastal national park. The town is steeped in history and is surrounded by an imposing stone wall built in the 13th Century. Having seen much change throughout the centuries, it is renowned as one of the most attractive holiday resorts in Britain. With a choice of four superb beaches, there are also two golf courses in the area and a vast choice of water sports and other activities, including a boat trip from the quaint harbour to the beautiful monastery island of Caldey.
Jonathan Hill, from Christie + Co’s Bristol Office, who is handling the sale, commented; “The Panorama Hotel is a good quality hotel, with an AA 4 Gold Star grading for guest accommodation, and has been owned by Robin and Carol Wright for approximately 10 years. During this time, they have chosen to move away from a fully serviced hotel to a more bed and breakfast type operation. The business is extremely popular with couples looking for weekend breaks and ramblers, as 90 percent of the guests are from the leisure market. Given the hotel’s position, there is much potential for a new owner operator to reintroduce a fully functioning restaurant or to bring the flat into the main body of the hotel, with permission from the local authorities.”
A guide price of £675,000 is being sought for the freehold interest of the Panorama Hotel.
