Specialist leisure and hospitality property adviser Christie + Co has acquired the boutique Hoax Hostel in Stanley Street, Liverpool from LPA Receiver’s ES Group/Lambert Smith Hampton on behalf of Euro Hostels Limitedoax Host.

Situated in a prominent position in the heart of Liverpool’s world famous Cavern Quarter, the property provides accommodation for up to 274 people over 52 bedrooms, together with Hopskotch Street Kitchen Bar & Restaurant and Hatch Music Bar.

Euro Hostels CEO William McClelland commented: “Our Euro Hostel brand and product has filled the gap between Backpacker Hostel and Budget Hotel. We offer clean, comfortable, safe and fun accommodation in all our properties and Liverpool is a key strategic location for us to complement our existing hostels in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.""

Christie + Co’s Head of Leisure & Development Jon Patrick who handled the transaction concluded: “Liverpool is a key visitor destination named as 3rd city in the world to visit by travel bible “Rough Guide”. Its visitor economy is worth some £3.4 billion a year to the local economy and the Euro Hostel brand will help secure and grow this important aspect of the city’s affordable hospitality offer.”

Euro Hostels were represented by Shepherd Wedderburn whilst the seller’s legal representatives were Milton Keynes based Dentons.
