Previously operating as a care home, the nursery was opened and established by our client in 1994 from which time she has remained fully involved in the business. Operating from a detached converted house and set across two floors, the nursery includes one bedroom owner’s accommodation and a large garden used for outdoor play and private parking.

The nursery is registered to occupy 41 children all year round and caters for ages 0-8. There is a full-time manager and deputy manager in place, both of whom have worked at the setting for around 20 years with a team of fully qualified staff working underneath them.

The current owner presently resides in the upstairs owner’s accommodation and is the nursery's full time cook. She has now decided to sell the nursery after 22 successful years to pursue her retirement.

All fixtures and fittings are owned outright by our clients and will be included in the sale.

Sofia Beck, Childcare Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Manchester office, who is handling the sale comments: “Beehive Nursery offers an excellent opportunity for either a first time buyer or an existing, experienced operator looking to expand their portfolio. The nursery has a warming, homely feel with fantastic private outdoor play space which the children clearly love.

“There are numerous factors currently influencing the childcare sector including the proposal for additional free childcare and the impact of the National Living Wage. Christie & Co is well placed to provide advice to operators in this exciting time for the industry.”

Christie & Co is seeking offers around £475,000 for the freehold interest.
