Wiltshire hotel gets new owners through Christie & Co

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has brokered the sale of the New Forest Lodge Hotel in the Wiltshire village of Landford, near Salisbury.

Located on the edge of the New Forest on a former petrol filling station site, the hotel was sold on behalf of owner-operators, Allan and Lynne Plumbridge who worked hard to establish a successful business for many years.

The new owner, Dhiraj Chadha and his family are moving to the area to run the business after seeing its potential for further growth and acquiring funding through specialist commercial mortgage broker, Christie Finance. This was a unique opportunity as it offered the ability to run a successful hotel as well as acquire the investment of the well known Royal Jaipur Indian Restaurant next door.

Richard Wood, Business Agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale comments, “We are delighted to have helped Allan and Lynne in the sale of the New Forest Lodge and have no doubt that the new owner, given his experience, will make it a great success long into the future.

“This is another fantastic example of a bank funded transaction in 2017, illustrating the renewed appetite to support licensed and hospitality businesses throughout the South of England.”

Dhiraj Chadha comments, “My family and I are delighted in purchasing New Forest Lodge and are looking forward to successfully growing the business furthermore.”

The business was sold off a guide price of £750,000.
