Prominently positioned within a mixed commercial and residential area on the edge of town, the practice comprises three well fitted surgeries and presents ample opportunity for expansion. Established over 60 years ago, the business was acquired by Principal Keith Withers in 1997, before entering into a partnership in 2001 with Simon Ripley.
Former Principals, Keith Withers and Simon Ripley comment, “We’d like to thank Jonathan Watson for the hard work he put in for us, it's great to have the burden of responsibility lifted. We were delighted that Christie & Co was able to generate a range of offers and introduced purchasers who have a similar ethos to us. We are extremely happy with the outcome and wish Dr Hanji the best of luck with the future of the practice!”
Withers and Ripley Dental Surgery has been acquired by Kiran Hanji, an expanding group operator with practices across North and Midlands.
Kiran Hanji of Hanji Dental Group comments, “I am delighted to be buying such a well established practice. It was my first time buying a practice through Christie & Co and the process has been stress free and made easy with the help of Jonathan. They don't charge a fee to buyers and I feel they are true in terms of valuating a practice.”
Jonathan Watson, Director at Christie & Co comments, “The sale of Withers and Ripley Dental Surgery is another example of the insatiable demand for dental practices in prominently located areas. Whilst the recruitment of associates is becoming a challenge across many parts of the UK, practices in urban locations such as Manchester continue to thrive and achieve record prices.”
Christie & Co sought offers in excess of £1,750,000 plus the freehold interest of Withers and Ripley Dental Surgery.
Alexander Hall, Partner at Meade King Solicitors & NASDAL acted for the buyer, whilst Jonathan Tyson of Knights Plc (and also of NASDAL) acted for Drs Withers and Ripley.
