With a warm décor, the attractive, open plan restaurant comprises a front bar with comfortable seating for six guests, an 80 cover dining area, a commercial kitchen with a separate wash up area and storage space, across the ground floor.

Ideally placed close to the high street, the site benefits from high footfall due to its town centre location, as well its proximity to the busy nearby towns of St Albans, Luton and Hemel Hempstead. Harpenden is renowned for its love of food, and has a history of supporting new restaurants, and a new operator could seek to take advantage of gaps in the local market for a Lebanese, Greek, sushi or steak house offering.

Current owner, Mr Moti Thakur, is selling the leasehold after 10 years of running the business due to retirement and comments, “It has been a joy to run the business for so long and the community in Harpenden has been very supportive. The property is now ready for a new owner to take over and bring something new to the town.”

Tim Widdows, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Reading office is handling the sale and comments, “Cinnamon is a successful restaurant in a good location that enjoys a strong local following. The business has grown to a point where it can now be smoothly taken over by a new, hands on operator or adapted to another style of food offering, introducing an exciting new concept to the bustling town of Harpenden.”

Christie & Co is seeking £95,000 for the leasehold interest of Cinnamon with an annual rent of £28,500.
