Fairfield House, a luxury residential care home in the West Dorset coastal town of Lyme Regis has been sold in a deal brokered by specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

Perched on a hillside overlooking the peaceful town of Lyme Bay, the 36 bedroom Victorian Mansion has been privately owned by Eytan and Michelle Krips for over 10 years.

The couple pass the torch to Miles and Zoe Hutchins of Safequarter Ltd, who have other homes mainly in the South of England. The confidential sale was negotiated by John Crocker of Christie + Co’s Exeter office and following a best and final bid process, the Hutchins’ offer was accepted.

John Crocker comments: “Fairfield’s outstanding reputation in the area is underpinned by Mr and Mrs. Krips’ substantial investment in new systems, equipment and training for staff. We congratulate the Hutchins’ on this excellent acquisition and look forward to watching the success of Farefield House as it enters a new era. The market for quality care homes in the South West remains robust.”

Farefield House was sold for an undisclosed sum off a £2,700,000 asking price.
