Believed to date back to the 16th century, The Ferry Boat Inn sits in a prime position overlooking the beach and Helford River, a seawater river estuary which brings in year round tourism with its quiet coves and beaches. Considered one of the premium boating and sailing areas in Cornwall, the estuary has consistent as well as visitor moorings.

The pub features large indoor and outdoor trading space as well as a two bedroom detached house and three-bed staff apartment.

Stephen Champion of Christie & Co’s Exeter office who is handling the sale comments, “The Ferry Boat Inn is currently operated by Wright Brothers who have developed the pub into a thriving and lucrative food-led business which draws in locals and tourists from far and wide. The restaurant specialises in fish and seafood straight from the boat, alongside British pub classics.

“This business could make an excellent addition to an existing pub or restaurant group, or alternatively could suit a hands-on owner-operator who wants to continue to develop the trade and benefit from the reduced costs.”

Christie & Co is seeking offers in the region of £295,000 for the leasehold interest with an annual rent of £60,000.
