The two-surgery practice, which is prominently positioned on a busy shopping parade in the centre of the Palacefields estate, has been sold to a Yorkshire-based operator, looking to expand their portfolio in the North West.
Jonathan Watson, Associate Director in Christie & Co’s Manchester office brokered the sale and said, “The Dental Surgery in Runcorn has a phenomenally high UDA rate - the rate at which they are paid by the NHS for the number of treatments they undertake - which helped to generate some 32 viewings and 21 offers from a range of purchasers.
“The sale price reinforces the strength of the Northern market at present with first time entrants and private multiple practice owners fuelling considerable activity. Demand for NHS dental practices in particular is hugely exceeding supply across the region, and buyers from all areas of the market – first timers to corporate – are competing fiercely.”
Departing Principal Ian Llewellyn said "I've loved building the practice for 21 years and am sad to be departing. The incoming dentists are really nice people who are seriously committed to the long-term future of the practice."
The Dental Surgery in Runcorn was sold for considerably higher than the asking price of £315,000.
