The picturesque pub, which is located on the boundary of Dartmoor National Park, was bought by Lance & Simone Marshall. They have decided to take the leap from successful careers in catering to start a new chapter as publicans.

Having run the business together for five years, previous owners Andrew Burkin and his wife have now made the decision to sell up in order to relocate to Scotland.

Tristan Courtney, Business Agent in Christie & Co’s Exeter office who is handling the sale comments, “It’s great to see new, enthusiastic entrants coming into the pub sector and we wish Lance and Simone all the very best of luck in their new and exciting career.

“After a comprehensive marketing campaign we received strong interest, further illustrating an improving market with increased demand for pubs throughout the South West.”
