The country pub and restaurant, which dates back from around 1870 has a bar/lounge, one private and two public dining rooms, seven ensuite letting bedrooms and a detached three bedroom cottage which can be used as owner’s accommodation. There is a fully operational kitchen garden with poly tunnel.

David Cash, Business Agent in Christie & Co’s Newcastle office who is handling the sale comments, “The Barrasford Arms is a very well established business, with an excellent reputation. It regularly hosts quoits tournaments, darts finals and vegetable competitions so is a key hub for both the local and wider community.

“It benefits from multiple income streams by way of food, drink and accommodation sales, whilst giving the owners an opportunity to retreat to a detached cottage located away from the main building.

“This would be a fantastic business for any kind of buyer to take over, whether you’re an experienced operator or perhaps a chef looking for a new challenge.”

The Barrasford Arms is on the market at £130,000 on a Free of Tie leasehold basis, with an annual rent of £15,250.
