Tipputs Inn finds perfect match

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has successfully completed on the sale of a 20 year free of tie lease for Tipputs Inn, a country inn and restaurant with 100 covers in Horsley surrounded by the rolling hills of the Cotswolds.

This substantial detached two storey building with 18th century origins has spacious trading areas arranged over two floors.

Previous owner Richard Pratt who bought the business three years ago has decided to sell Tipputs Inn to focus on other business commitments in the UK and overseas.

New owners Sadie Price, Ian Hogg, and Lillian & Frankie Chambers are experienced publicans with strong knowledge of the local area, who until recently ran Hunter’s Hall, in Kingscote, part of the Old English Inn brand owned by Green King. The management team plans to bring the venue back to its 200 year old roots as a traditional Cotswolds pub complete with a new menu which will focus on fresh, high quality and affordable food.

Nicholas Calfe, Director of Christie & Co's Bristol office comments; “Privately owned free of tie leasehold pub opportunities allow the freedom, scope and flexibility for experienced operators to express themselves.  In addition buyers with limited funds can acquire a pub business often in locations where freehold prices are beyond their reach. The sale of lease for Tipputs Inn represents this demand and we look forward to seeing how the inn develops and progresses in the future.”
