Exceptional Lancashire day nursery sold after 22-year ownership

The nursery was established in 2003 by dedicated owner, Claire Botham, who, whilst pregnant with her first child, wanted a nursery that could offer that special home-from-home environment with love and dedication evident throughout the whole setting.

Early Birds Private Day Nursery is a truly welcoming setting with an excellent team of longstanding staff who have helped take the nursery from strength to strength over the years. With a current operating capacity for up to 50 children, the nursery has consistently high occupancy levels due to its well-known reputation and word-of-mouth referrals.

Following a confidential sales process with Sofia Beck at Christie & Co, Early Birds Private Nursery has been purchased by national group operator Kids Planet Day Nurseries, which has a portfolio of over 200 settings across the UK.

Claire Botham, the former owner of Early Birds Private Day Nursery, comments, “Since I opened the doors of Early Birds in 2003, working with the team, children and parents has been a huge part of my life and an absolute privilege.
