Hustyns is an extensive resort situated in the village of St Breock a few miles from the busy A39 and A30, an area of North Cornwall renowned for its spectacular coastline, secluded coves and award winning beaches. The resort is close to the Camel Trail, a popular visitor attraction for cyclists and walkers with coastal resorts nearby including Newquay and Padstow.
Set in approximately 70 acres of grounds within picturesque countryside, this substantial extended and modernised purpose-built hotel boasts extensive facilities, including two conference and banqueting suites, a restaurant and brasserie with bar and 37 spacious en suite letting bedrooms.
CLC World owned and operated Hustyns since 2006, having invested in the facility that has earned a reputation as a quality venue. During their strategic review, CLC decided to move their marketing operations to other areas of the UK and their exclusive membership operations to their sister resort, Trenython Manor in Tywardreath, near Fowey. However, CLC will continue to have luxury lodge accommodations available at Hustyns, and are keen to see the resort become fully operational once again.
Matthew Smith, Director at Christie & Co’s Bristol office comments; "The sale of Hustyns Resort further demonstrates the demand for hospitality businesses that offer a clear upside to developing the trading performance.
“Aston Management Company is a full service hospitality consulting and real estate company with more than 30 years experience in all facets of the industry with a total of 12 hotels across the US and UK. Ravi Gupta of Aston Management Company is known to Christie & Co as this is the third hotel he has purchased through us in 12 months. Based on the success of the previous two hotels’ performance under his ownership, it is clear Hustyns has an exciting and bright future ahead.”
Christie Finance assisted the buyer in funding the purchase and the business was sold for an undisclosed sum.
