Sale of Mercure Banbury hotel completed by Christie & Co

​Having been retained as sole selling agent, Christie & Co, specialist business property adviser, has sold the Mercure Banbury Whately Hall Hotel, a classic 17th century property in Oxfordshire, located a short distance from the Cotswolds.

The hotel was acquired by Rajiv Nathwani and Ravi Ruparelia, Directors of Serani Hotels Ltd, who will operate it themselves under the Mercure Brand.

The 3-star Mercure Banbury sits on a 1.9 acre plot and features 69 en suite bedrooms, six meeting rooms, and is a popular venue for weddings and events holding up to 180 guests.

Situated in the heart of Banbury, the prominently located hotel is highly accessible, less than a mile away from Banbury rail station and two miles from the M40 motorway, it also has the benefit of being close to popular local attractions such as Blenheim Palace and Silverstone race track.
