Christie & Co sells Liverpool restaurant to expanding operator

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has completed on the sale of the Hub Alehouse & Kitchen in Liverpool City Centre to Mission Mars, an expanding regional hospitality operator.



The restaurant occupies the ground and lower ground floors of the Grade II listed Casartelli Building in a prominent position at the junction of Duke Street and Hanover Street, ideally situated to benefit from passing trade from the nearby Liverpool ONE shopping centre and Albert Dock. The 280.5 sq m trading area is set across the ground floor and provides seating for 170 covers. It is decorated throughout in a gastropub style, with Cardean timber flooring, and benefits from a light and airy atmosphere thanks to the large full-height windows.

Previous owner, Mark Friend, Owner of Bistro Qui? Limited, sought to sell the business as part of a portfolio rationalisation and comments, “We wish the new owners every success with The Hub Alehouse & Kitchen and we are sure they can take this site to a new level that will please the existing team and the clientele alike. New owner, Mission Mars, own and operate live music venues, bars, pubs and restaurants throughout Manchester and Liverpool, with The Hub Alehouse & Kitchen marking their twelfth venue overall and their second within the city of Liverpool.

The Hub Alehouse & Kitchen was sold on a leasehold basis off an asking price of £750,000.
