Specialist property adviser Christie + Co has sold the former childrens’ day nursery in Flitwick to Davidson Roberts Ltd, an expanding childcare operator.

Located in Flitwick town centre just short drive away from Woburn Centre Parcs, the business was registered for 125 children aged two to eight years old and operated successfully until the nursery tenant vacated on October 2013.

Jane Roberts, the owner of Davidson Roberts comments: “I am delighted with the building,  it’s got a lovely home-from-home feel which is in-keeping with our type of nursery and we are looking forward to shortly opening it up to children once more. I have to thank Christie + Co for introducing me to the premises.”

Launched in 2006, Davidson Roberts Ltd retains seven nurseries and ten out-of-school clubs in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.  Indeed, Christie + Co has assisted in some of their previous acquisitions.

Robert Mellamphy of Christie + Co’s Ipswich office was delighted to hear of the transaction, commenting, “It is always satisfying to see the results of a positive, long term working relationship with our clients.  I have known Jane for several years and we assisted her with the acquisition of Buckden Day Nursery in St Neots in 2006.”

The company's latest acquisition was handled by Daniel Arnold, Regional Director at Christie + Co’s London agency office. He comments: “Davidson Roberts have a proven record of quality and integrity and we are delighted to have helped them make this fantastic acquisition.  We are confident they will make a great success of the business and very much look forward to a continued relationship with them.”
