The highly-regarded Chrysalis Day Nursery in Cheshire has been sold off an asking price of £1.3 million, to an experienced regional operator, in a deal brokered by specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

Kathy and Mike Bowe, who have owned the acclaimed nursery for 17 years, pass the torch to Mr Clive Barratt, an expanding multiple operator looking to acquire more high-quality nurseries across the North West and the Midlands.

Clive Barratt comments: “Chrysalis Day Nursery is an integral part of the community, delivering childcare to the highest standards and we will continue to strive to make it a really fantastic place for children to come to play and learn.”

Located in Rudheath, the purpose-built nursery offers 100 places and provides a stimulating and nurturing environment through its impressive facilities, superb indoor and outdoor play areas and beautiful spacious gardens.

Mike Bowe remarks: “We have been the very proud owners of Chrysalis Day Nursery for 17 years. During that time we have been lucky to have cared for some beautiful children who have enriched our lives. We have built up excellent relationships with parents, some that will last into the future. Above all, we have been lucky enough to have managed to work with some of the most caring and committed practitioners you could hope to meet. Kathy and I thank Courteney Donaldson at Christie + Co for her attention to detail and professionalism throughout the negotiations and transaction. We have always felt that she had an excellent grasp of our situation and worked hard to achieve our goals”.
