The Davenport Arms is a distinctive two storey detached dining inn occupying a prominent location within the affluent village of Marton.  The property has a number of traditional features including exposed beam effect ceilings and open grate fireplaces.  The property also comprises a five bedroom, two bathroom owner’s accommodation situated on the first floor with its own separate access.

The business has been owned and operated by the current owners for the past 11 years. Having featured regularly in the AA Best Pubs in Britain Guide and also the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, the business comes with an excellent reputation, offering seasonal menus using local ingredients along with fine wines and real ales.

Keith Stringer, Associate Director at Christie & Co is handling the sale. He says: “This pub sale provides a rare opportunity to purchase a well established and profitable business due to retirement.

“The Davenport Arms would be an ideal acquisition for either an established restaurateur or an additional venue for an independent multiple operator looking to establish a foothold within the affluent South Manchester golden triangle.”

Christie & Co is seeking offers in the region of £150,000 for the leasehold interest in the Davenport Arms.
