Four L&F convenience stores placed on the market with Christie & Co

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been instructed to sell four going concern convenience stores for L&F Jones Holdings Ltd. The four stores offered for sale include three freehold stores located in Melksham, Trowbridge and Shepton Mallet with a leasehold store in Winscombe. Two of the stores have living accommodation above and three of the stores have dedicated customer parking.

The stores are a mix of L&F Jones own branded stores and Lifestyle Express with the Lifestyle Express having had the benefit of a significant store refurbishment.

L&F Jones’ decision to sell reflects its strategic aim to provide greater focus on a smaller number of convenience stores as well as investing in its wholesale business based in Radstock.

Robin Allen, Chairman of L&F Jones Holdings Ltd commented, “The sale of these stores will enable us to focus on increasing the geographic reach of our fast growing delivered food service operation.  At the same time, we fully intend to continue to support and invest in our remaining convenience stores in our chosen locations.”

David Morris from Christie & Co adds, “This presents an excellent opportunity for independent retailers to acquire a freehold or leasehold convenience store with two having the added benefit of living accommodation above, in locations across the region. The stores are likely to attract early interest especially with the convenience retail sector continuing to grow.”
