Premier convenience store in Deal sold through Christie & Co

Premier King Edward Stores, a large convenience store situated in the Kent town of Deal has been sold through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co on a freehold basis to an independent multiple retailer, who is delighted to have taken over a thriving local business.

Former owner Mark McAllister said of the deal, “I am thrilled to have sold my store. Jack was excellent throughout; he was calm and efficiently dealt with any problems that came up, even on the day of completion when a last minute issue threatened to scupper the deal. Jack kept in regular contact, always getting back to us promptly, and I would have no hesitation in recommending him.”

Jack Dudley at Christie & Co’s Maidstone office who handled the sale comments, “I am pleased to complete the sale of this store in Deal. Sold on an off market basis, we were able to secure an experienced retailer and conduct the whole transaction discretely through to completion. We wish the new purchaser all the best and know that he will continue to build on the current success of the store.

“The convenience retail market remains very strong and there is enormous demand for both freehold and leasehold stores across the South East.”

Christie & Co sold the Premier King Edward Store off an undisclosed guide price.
