Vacant Didsbury property sold through Christie & Co

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has completed on the sale of 745 Wilmslow Road, a five storey Victorian building located along the main high street leading through Didsbury, an extremely affluent suburb of South Manchester.

The large property has been sold on a freehold basis with vacant possession to a private operator whose plans are to develop the site in to a ‘Family Art Café’ with private event space to host children’s parties and an area to provide a small retail flower offering.

Co-owners Ernst Van Der Water and Daren Taylor both instructed Christie & Co to sell their property so that they could both focus their attention on other business ventures.

Previously, the site ran a long standing, well established florist business on the ground floor, whilst there was a large four-bedroom triplex apartment above.

Ernst comments on the sale; “I am extremely pleased with Christie & Co as my agent in the sale of my property in Didsbury; Ashley continuously went above and beyond which ultimately resulted in the sale.”

Business Agent, Ashley Cobban of Christie & Co’s Manchester office who handled the sale comments; “The ever-popular South Manchester suburb of Didsbury has always had a strong property market even in difficult times. The price we have achieved for the site is representative of pre-recession figures and a great result for our client. The new owner-operator has a fantastic business venture planned for the premises and I anticipate it will be greatly received by the local residents and shoppers.”

Christie & Co sold the site off an asking price of £850,000.
