Busy convenience store awaits new owner in Waltham Cross

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has brought to the market Handersons, a profitable convenience store in the town of Waltham Cross, North London.

The retail area is well equipped with a range of refrigerators and display shelving and offers a vast array of convenience goods, including newspapers and magazines, alcohol, tobacco and food to go, as well as National Lottery services. The store provides considerable scope for modernisation and the property also includes a spacious first floor lock up storage area.

The store’s location close to Waltham Cross station attracts a high level of passing trade from local residents, as well those visiting from further afield, due to the excellent transport links to central London. Occupying a prime High Street location, the store also sits next to The Pavilions Shopping Centre, which adds to the high footfall in the busy area.

Current owner, Vikramji Odedra has operated Handersons for the past four years and is now looking to sell the leasehold in order to retire.

Tom Glanvill, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Winchester office is handling the sale and comments, “This store’s fantastic location, high turnover and exceptional profit margins provide a rare opportunity for existing operators and first time buyers alike. Those looking to acquire a well-established business with the potential to add additional profitable lines, need look no further!

“The convenience store market continues to be very busy with single, regional and corporate operators actively looking for new acquisitions, so we expect strong levels of interest in this business.”

Christie & Co is seeking £115,000 for the leasehold interest of Handersons.
