Cheshire dental practice sold to first time buyer

Damian O’Connor Dental Practice, a mixed income dental practice in the affluent village of Disley, Cheshire has been sold to a first time buyer from Manchester through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co. The previous principal, who owned the business for 33 years, has operated the practice from its current location since 1992.

Occupying a prominent position in Disley, the property is one of the only detached buildings in the village centre. Damian O’Connor Dental Practice comprises two well fitted surgeries and offers NHS, orthodontic and private cosmetic treatments, as well as a foundation training for dentists. The practice is principal-run with a part time associate, therapist and foundation dentist.

New owner, Vicknesh Tasen plans to maintain the good reputation of the practice and will continue to offer vocational training for young dentists. Mr Tasen comments on the sale, “It has been a real pleasure working with Jonathan and the team at Christie & Co to secure the purchase of my practice. Jonathan is very approachable, incredibly proactive and is always just a quick email away. He was on hand at every step of the way with help and advice, from the very first viewing right up to completion. Excellent client-centred service all round.”

Jonathan Watson, Associate Director at Christie & Co handled the sale and comments, “There is increasing demand for mixed dental practices in affluent locations across the North. South Manchester and Cheshire in particular are real hotspots for acquisition at the moment.”

Christie & Co sought offers in excess of £495,000 for the leasehold of Damian O’Connor Dental Practice.

Daniel Gianferrari of O’Neill Patient Solicitors & NASDAL acted on behalf of the vendor and Alexander Hall of Meade King Solicitors acted on behalf of the buyer.
