Situated on Miles Lane, connecting Appley Bridge to Wigan, the 1,200 sq ft convenience store is extensively stocked and operates seven days a week. Benefitting from three bedroom owner’s accommodation, the store presents the ideal lifestyle business for an owner operator.

Having owned the store for over 10 years, previous owner, Mr Bhojani decided to sell the business in order to pursue retirement and spend more time with his family, whilst continuing to manage his property investments within the Appley Bridge area.

New owner, Ashley Mistry is a first time buyer from outside Bolton and comments, “The first three weeks have been manic as we adjust to the challenges and opportunities of running the store, but this is an exciting first step in our long term plan to build a portfolio of convenience stores in the area.”

Ashley Cobban, Business Agent at Christie & Co handled the sale and comments, “This Costcutter is at the heart of the local community in Appley Bridge, offering vital post office services alongside the well-stocked convenience offering, and it’s great to see Ashley doing so well in his first few weeks. The interest generated by this property and the subsequent sale demonstrates how vibrant the market for high quality convenience stores remains throughout the region.”

The convenience store was sold off a guide price of £159,950.
