Busy petrol filling station near Manchester city centre for sale

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has brought to the market Cheetham Service Station, a Gulf branded filling station located just off Bury New Road, a busy main road that serves as one of the principal thoroughfares into Manchester city centre from the north of the city.

The purpose built forecourt is complemented by a well maintained and well stocked convenience store with a 24 hour licence, that trades under the Premier banner, and is heavily relied upon in the local area, generating strong retail sales as a result. The store offers customers a variety of household products, confectionery, dairy, canned goods, tobacco, and alcohol, in additional to a range of services, including an on-site cash machine, Costa Coffee machine and hand car wash, providing the operator with a variety of income streams.

Cheetham Service Station has been owned and operated by Summaiya Nabeel for the past three years, during which time she has significantly expanded the store and added the hand car wash. She is now seeking a sale in order to relocate overseas and comments, “The site has significantly grown in the last years, and it will definitely continue to grow, given its prime location. Unfortunately I have to move abroad and sell this business, this site has a lot of prospect under good management and it will definitely serve as a profitable and rewarding business for future owners.”

Ashley Cobban, Business Agent at Christie & Co is handling the sale and comments, “Cheetham Service Station enjoys a prime location, with a high degree of passing trade, and is currently predominantly staff-operated, giving potential purchasers the chance to increase profitability by taking a more hands-on role within the business. Opportunities like this don’t come to the market on a regular basis and as such, we expect interest from a variety of operators – both new and existing.”

Cheetham Service Station is offered for sale on a leasehold basis, with an asking price of £465,000.
