Expanding nursery group Kids Planet Day Nurseries Ltd has acquired a group of three nurseries from Liverpool Day Nurseries Ltd, bringing its total number of nurseries to 15.

Linda Knight of Liverpool Day Nurseries Ltd, and previously of Nord Anglia and Nunu, appointed specialist childcare property adviser Christie + Co to manage a confidential sales process for the three highly regarded childcare settings - The House Day Nursery, Greenbank Park Day Nursery and The Cottage Day Nursery.

Founded in 2008 by chief executive Clare Roberts and her father John Hoban, Kids Planet Day Nurseries Ltd has quickly grown to become one of largest groups in the region with nurseries located in Crewe, Dukinfield, Hale, Lymm, Prestwich, Sale, Salford, Springhead, Warrington and Widnes.

Courteney Donaldson, Director and Head of Childcare at Christie + Co says: “The nurseries generated significant interest, with numerous highly competitive offers from highly acquisitive trade acquirers. My colleague Nick Brown and I were delighted to be invited to act on behalf of Liverpool Nurseries, and congratulate Kids Planet Day Nurseries on its acquisition of this highly desirable portfolio. We wish Linda Knight all the very best for her future endeavours.”

Clare Roberts comments: “We are very excited to be moving into Liverpool and look forward to opening more nurseries in the years to come.”

She adds: “We have been impressed by the level of service and support Courteney and her team have provided at all stages during the sales process of the Liverpool Nurseries. The team liaised with all parties during the process and have been committed in driving this deal forward at all times to completion.”
