Christie + Co is pleased to report the sale of Merafield View Nursing Home in Plympton, Plymouth.

The 40 bedroom purpose built home has been acquired by David Smallridge, owner of St Francis and Meadowside care homes in Plympton. This new acquisition brings his combined registration to 109.

Commenting on the sale, David said: ""When this home was offered to me by John Crocker of Christie + Co, I immediately recognised it as a natural fit with our other homes, Meadowside and St Francis.”

John Crocker, Director at Christie + Co’s Exeter office handled the sale. He commented: “David has built an excellent reputation with St Francis and Meadowside and is well placed to offer top level care to those who require it in the Plymouth area.”

The sale process started with a chance meeting in a car dealership in Plymouth. John approached David and asked him if he was looking for another care home in the area as Christie + Co had just the place for him. The answer from David was ‘certainly’ and a few months later, Merafield View was his.
