The successful store is prominently positioned on the High Street in the centre of the desirable village of Blagdon, with ample street parking. The business benefits from a large catchment area due to its close proximity to the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which overlooks Blagdon Lake. Larger nearby cities include Bristol which sits 14 miles south and Bath, 20 miles to the west.

Blagdon Post Office & Stores has been owned and operated by Graham and Johanna Brown for over 21 years and was sold due to retirement.

The store has been sold to Mr Amar Dhillon, an experienced retail operator based in Gloucestershire. Mr Dhillon recently sold a store in Cheltenham and has moved to Blagdon. The store offers the opportunity to extend the opening hours and adopt a more hands on approach, with the introduction of new product ranges.
Jamie Williams, Business Agent in Christie & Co’s Retail team handled the sale and adds, “I am thrilled to have helped Graham and Johanna with the sale of Blagdon Post Office & Stores and hope they enjoy their semi-retirement by the coast.

“There has been no let-up in the demand for convenience stores, post offices, off licences and newsagents so far in 2021. The market has rapidly transitioned into a sellers one, so if you are considering selling, now is the time.”
