Interest in childcare and education on the rise from overseas

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has teamed up with NDNA International to create Going Global, a free event aimed at international nursery owners, private education groups and investors contemplating acquisitions of, or investment into UK day nursery businesses – whether that be a single asset or the acquisition of a platform to facilitate a buy, build or to export a strategy.

The event will cover an overview of the UK day nursery market, demographics, supply and demands, the structure of acquisitions and sales, and considerations for sustainability as well as other sector topics which are pertinent to prospective buyers and sellers.

Courteney Donaldson, Head of Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, comments, “Over the past few years we have seen interest in the UK day nursery and education markets from overseas operators and investors has substantially increased and the Brexit vote last year has further fuelled the volume of international enquires we are receiving. The fall in the value of the Pound is also awarding overseas buyers additional currency gains.

“From our experience in the UK and international day nursery markets we are seeing a raft of opportunities for both international investors and UK nursery owners looking to move their brand or expertise abroad.”

The Going Global event takes place at the JA Oasis Beach Tower, Dubai Marina, UAE on the 13th March, days before the GESS event on the 14th – 16th March also in Dubai.
