Higher Greaves Pharmacy in Lancaster was sold to a local first-time buyer while Goostrey Pharmacy in rural Cheshire was sold to an expanding local operator.
Higher Greaves Pharmacy
Oscar James, Business Agent at Christie & Co comments, “Multiple viewings and offers were achieved on both pharmacies reinforcing the strength of the pharmacy market in the North of England despite the funding cuts.
“It also shows that there is still a huge appetite for smaller pharmacies – even those whose item levels fall below or on the brink of the establishment payment cut off – from both first-time entrants and existing operators. With demand far exceeding supply and buyers competing fiercely, it puts owners who wish to sell their pharmacies in an enviable position.”
Rishi Bhatia of RB Healthcare Limited comments, “I’d like to thank Oscar and the team at Christie & Co for all of their hard work in achieving a great result in the sale of two of my pharmacies. There are a number of agents out there claiming to be experts in selling pharmacies however having done my due diligence Christie & Co came top of the list with the level of expertise and knowledge they offer in-house and more importantly the exposure they have to potential buyers. Oscar ensured constant communications throughout the transaction and ensured I was kept up-to-date at each junction. I found him approachable and reassuring throughout the whole process and I could not have put the sale in better hands.”
