Specialising in residential and dementia care, Havendene is registered with CQC for 25 residents and benefits from 21 single and two twin bedrooms, two dining rooms and three bathrooms situated across the ground and first floors. Additionally, the home provides ample car parking space to the front of the property for visitors and a lift for easy access to the first floor.

Previous owner, Mrs Lindy Liddell and her family had owned the home since 1990 and have fully refurbished and enhanced the property throughout their ownership. John Nicholson, partner at Mincoffs Solicitors and lead adviser on the specialist healthcare team, acted on behalf of Mrs Liddell and comments, “Mrs Liddell and her family are long-standing clients of Mincoffs and we were delighted to assist them with the sale of Havendene Care Home. I wish them all the best for the future.”

New owner, Dr Khan comments, “My wife and I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Julie at Christie & Co for all of her help, support and advice she gave at every stage of the process. I look forward to doing business with Julie again in the not so distant future.”

Julie Kitson, Director at Christie & Co’s Newcastle office, who handled the sale comments, “The sale of Havendene Care Home exemplifies the buoyancy and interest in the care market for all types of care and number of beds. I am pleased to have been able to sell this lovely home on behalf of Lindy and her family to enable them to retire, as well as working with Dr & Mrs Khan on their first purchase. I am sure they will enjoy working in the care sector and continue to provide good quality care.”

Havendene Care Home was sold off a guide price of £595,000 for the freehold interest.
