Seafront Margate pub looking for new tenants

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been appointed to bring to the market the seafront pub, The Hoy, on Fort Hill in the Kent coastal town of Margate. Having been forced to close last year due to a fire in an internal wall, the pub has now been fully refurbished and is ready to open its doors and begin trading again.

The sizeable property features a spacious ground floor open plan trade area including a large bar servery with generous seating areas, a newly fitted trade kitchen, and a basement level with an office and plenty of storage areas.

A stone’s throw from the sea and opposite the Turner Contemporary art gallery, The Hoy is located in a prominent position within the popular coastal resort of Margate. With excellent rail and road routes providing easy access to the rest of Kent and London, the area is an attractive destination for locals and tourists.

Andrew Moore, Director at Christie & Co’s Maidstone office comments, “Having been closed for the past couple of months due to a fire, The Hoy has now been fully refurbished and is ready for a new tenant to take the helm. The Hoy was previously a popular local, and I have no doubt that the community will welcome the re-opening of this prominent pub, which benefits from a desirable position on the busy Margate seafront, a prime destination on the Kent coast.”

Ingoing premium and rent offers are being invited for this great opportunity.
