Previous owners, Mr and Mrs Tung are now looking forward to their retirement and are planning to spend time with their grandchildren in both the UK and Australia as a result of the sale.

Mrs Tung comments, “I am now looking forward to retiring thanks to Manish Jadav & Christie & Co. Manish found a buyer, managed the whole process professionally and made sure it completed on time. It helped that Manish is an ex retailer, he understood my business and value, like no other agent!”

The new owner, Mr Ali Yildirim is a first-time buyer and is relocating from Weymouth in order to run the shop. With the support of his family, Mr Yildirim is planning to develop the store and grow the business.

Mr Yildirim comments “Buying the store was made so much easier with Manish's help, advice and dedication to this deal.  A big thanks to Matt Gudgeon at Christie Finance also, who helped secure the finance for this purchase.  A truly knowledgeable & professional team.”

Matt Gudgeon, Finance Consultant with Christie Finance secured the finance for Mr Yildirim to complete the purchase of The Old Garage. He comments, “First time buyers often encounter difficulties when raising finance as lenders seek to gain comfort from relevant experience of applicants. This is compounded for sectors such as retail, as policies around retail lending are often focussed towards high street retail rather than convenience retail. I was delighted to secure finance to allow Mr Yildirim and Mr Marasli to acquire the business, and I wish them the best of luck in their new venture.”

Manish Jadav, Business Agent at Christie & Co handled the sale and adds, “The market is busy at the moment and this sale highlights the ongoing demand from buyers from the south to acquire well-located sites in the north, a trend which we are currently seeing.  We had many calls for this store while it was in the process of completing, with quite a few buyers on standby, had the deal fallen through.”
