Liverpool is regarded as one of England’s busiest regional cities and an important cultural centre, seeing strong development over the past few years. In 2008, this cultural heritage was celebrated when the city was crowned the European Capital of Culture. The city benefits from two premier league football teams, a large university and historically, a thriving nightlife sector.

Slater Street Apartments is ideally positioned on Slater Street, one of Liverpools most popular streets for drinking and dining, with a variety of bars, restaurants and shopping on offer. Liverpool Central Station and Lime Street station are also just around the corner, as well as key leisure and entertainment venues such as Liverpool One, Philharmonic Hall, Cavern Quarter and Liverpool Echo Arena which draw in large numbers of visitors year-round.

The aparthotel offers six separate apartments spread over three floors and the basement, with a total of 17 bedrooms throughout. Each apartment also offers additional bedding via a sofa bed.

The spaces have been designed in a modern, boutique style with industrial touches, with five of the apartments featuring a private kitchen and lounge space. The sixth apartment is fitted with a kitchenette and the top floor unit features a terrace. There is also a sperate ground floor retail premises fronting onto Slater Street which is let out to Potts Coffee and produces a rental income of £15,000 per annum.

The sale of the Slater Street Apartments presents a great opportunity for a new operator to acquire a well-established business in a sought-after city location, that historically performed exceptionally well. The business has been unable to trade for much of the past 12 months due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions around travel however, it is available as a turn-key opportunity once restrictions are lifted. There is also plenty of opportunity to grow the business by reviewing how the hotel is marketed on various social media platforms.

Ryan Lynn, Director, of Christie & Co, who is handling the sale comments, “Christie & Co believe this is a fantastic opportunity for a new buyer to acquire a modern property which is situated in a great location, fully fitted out and furnished to a high specification throughout.

“Hospitality businesses in Liverpool are always in high demand due to the city's appeal with visitors coming for the nightlife, shopping and football. With the market in general becoming busier each week, we feel now is a great time to pick up a business that is ready to go, but also offers room for a new owner to put their own stamp on, and take forward. There is also the benefit of the rental income from the retail premises situated on the ground floor.”

The business is on the market at an asking price of £1,500,000 for the freehold going concern.
