The Carrs will be opening a new, purpose built day nursery setting in September which will provide 200 children’s places along with outdoor facilities, play areas and a coffee shop.
Acting on behalf of the school’s bank, Christie & Co has undertaken a valuation of the development site including the current land value with D1 planning permission and a future trading business valuation on the back of projections provided. The new site, which will be located in a new residential development with some 5,300 homes being built, offers substantial opportunities for a day nursery.
Jennifer Gill, Valuer – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co comments, “Sarah and Stuart are well established regional operators with a strong network and team. They have successfully organically grown several nurseries after selling KinderCare Nurseries in 2001. We are excited to see the completed development and look forward to watching how the business grows in their new setting at Maxy House Farm in Cottam, north of Preston.
“Our extensive experience in the Childcare sector meant we were able to understand the prospect the site presented to the Carrs and have the foresight to envisage the future business opportunity.
“Our detailed report has allowed the bank to understand the opportunity by incorporating information about the children’s day nursery market, the local area development and the viability of the business projections. As such, using our report for loan security purposes has allowed the funding facility to be approved and the development to begin.
“We wish the Carrs the best of luck with their venture and look forward to working with the bank, Sarah and Stuart in the future.”
