Morayshire village Costcutter store bought by first-time purchasers

A local convenience store located in the Morayshire village of Hopeman has been sold through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co with funding arranged through specialist commercial finance broker, Christie Finance.

Tim Moyle and Syanness Tunhhal-Moyle will be taking over the running of the business after the previous owners made the decision to retire.

The store has a modern fitted large sales floor and benefits from generous owners’ accommodation and an enclosed private garden. Tim and Syanness are first-time buyers to the sector but have many transferable skills from the commercial and non-profit sectors that will help boost this store’s longstanding reputation in the local community.

Daniel Arrandale, Director at Christie & Co who handled the sale comments, "Over the 16 years which the former owners ran the business, it has enjoyed excellent growth. We wish them all the best in their retirement and the new owners success in their new venture."

Craig Dickson, Director at Christie Finance comments, "Due to its reputation and locality, this business represented a great opportunity for a first-time buyer to acquire a successful branded convenience store, and the lending environment in Scotland for retail businesses remains very competitive. I have no doubt that Tim and Syanness will continue to grow the business and we wish them well with their venture."
