Waggon & Horses, the popular country pub in the picturesque Hampshire village of Hartley Wintney is up for sale. Long-standing operators Niall and Linda Scott have appointed specialist property adviser Christie + Co to handle the leasehold sale of the 18th century pub.

Ideally located in the heart of the thriving village high street, Waggon & Horses provides a wide range of quality beers to suit every taste and a menu offering traditional English favourites. The pub also prides itself on its well-presented beer garden, offering space for guests to dine al-fresco in the warmer months.

Divided into two separate bars, the decor is traditional and unpretentious, complete with low-beamed ceilings and loose seating - allowing the business to offer flexible space for parties of varying sizes. .

The property also benefits from a spacious three bedroom owner’s accommodation which occupies the first and second floors of the property.

Tim Widdows of Christie + Co’s Reading office who is handling the sale, comments: “The Waggon & Horses is a classic country local which is the focal point of the village but also draws much passing trade thanks to its superb high-street location. We are confident that there will be a great deal of interest for this public house given its excellent reputation and sought-after location in the affluent village of Hartley Wintney on the A30 between Camberley and Basingstoke.”

Christie + Co is inviting offers of £165,000 for the leasehold interest in The Waggon & Horses.
