Current owners Robert and Jo Everett who have a background in the restaurant industry in the Far East, opened White’s in June 2014. The former coaching inn was the winner of The Food Awards England’s East Midlands Restaurant of The Year 2016.

The business has five letting bedrooms along with owner’s accommodation and is located a short distance away from the Peak District, Dovedale, Alton Towers, Chatsworth, the Tissington Trail and Carsington Water.

Gavin Webb, Business Agent at Christie & Co who is handling the sale comments, “This is an exquisitely decorated property and a successful business which caters for everyone from local diners and tourists visiting the area, to large parties and wedding receptions.

“It would suit an experienced operator who wants to continue the current owners’ passion for great food and drink, or even a first-time buyer looking to relocate to a picturesque market town and run their own business with the solid foundation that White’s has established.

“There is huge scope to increase trading hours as the business only trades Wednesday to Saturday evenings and Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes, so there is lots of potential for its presence in the area to grow.”

Christie & Co is seeking £565,000 for the freehold investment in the business.
