Mid Devon Pub of the Year 2015 comes to the market

The Red Lion Hotel, a traditional village freehouse in Oakford, a village located between Exmoor and Dartmoor has come to the market through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.

Since the current owner set up in 2013, the Red Lion Hotel has been renovated and has grown in reputation very quickly. It was subsequently awarded ‘Pub of the Year’ by the Mid-Devon Gazette in both 2014 and 2015.

Located in the countryside, the site includes four ensuite letting rooms, a fully-fitted commercial kitchen, main bar with open fireplace, restaurant area and two bedroom owner’s accommodation.  Externally, there is a small beer garden and private car park.

Stephen Champion, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Exeter office who is handling the sale comments, “We are delighted to bring to the market this charming freehouse which sits in a prime location in a stunning countryside village.

“The business provides a great opportunity to further its trading potential; it would suit both new and experienced operators wanting to embrace a village lifestyle.”

Christie & Co is seeking £375,000 for the freehold investment.
