Nailsworth pub sold to local operator

The Village Inn in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire has been sold through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.

The pub was bought by a company which already owns and operates The Black Horse nearby in Amberley. The business is run by three directors, Paul and Jessica Sugden and Debbie Rogan.

The new owners are keen to continue the traditions of the pub in offering an interesting and wide range of real ales. They also plan to brew their own beer using the micro brewery below the bar as well as develop the food offering.

Nicholas Calfe, Director at Christie & Co who handled the sale comments, “The Village Inn is one of those rare proper village pubs where people come to drink and sample the local brews, as well as enjoy the local banter.

“We are confident this tradition will continue under the new owners and wish them the best of luck in their latest venture.”
