The 35-place nursery on New Hall Lane in Heaton, Bolton has been sold on a freehold basis to first-time owners, Mr & Mrs Critchley.

The previous owners, Mr & Mrs Barlow, had owned Premiere Day Nursery since 2008, building up a strong local reputation for providing first class childcare, taking the decision to sell due to retirement.

The attractive nursery occupies a detached, two-storey, converted property in a convenient and accessible position on a popular, leafy residential street. Mrs Critchley, a qualified teacher will be taking on the role as manager with an enthusiastic approach and hopes to further boost the success of the current business.

Sofia Beck, Business Agent-Childcare at Christie & Co brokered the sale and comments, “We are frequently required to market nursery businesses in a highly confidential manner in order to be sensitive to the needs of children and parents, and on this occasion, we were able to find a buyer who was able to recognise the huge potential that Premiere Day Nursery has.

“Both parties built up a strong relationship from the initial stages of this transaction which really helped the deal to progress and allow a smooth changeover with staff and children.

“We wish both parties every success in the future.”

Mr Critchley comments, “Rachel and I look forward to injecting our energy and new ideas into the business and are excited to take on the challenge of operating our first nursery. We will be keeping in regular contact with Sofia at Christie & Co, as we are confident that she will assist us with any future plans to expand further into the sector.”
