High Valleyfield Pharmacy sold for the first time since 1999
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of High Valleyfield Pharmacy in High Valleyfield, Fife.
High Valleyfield Pharmacy is a well-established unopposed pharmacy in the centre of the village, close to Dunfermline and the attractive village of Culross. It is located opposite a busy health centre and sits adjacent to the village’s only convenience store.
For many years now, the business has performed well, dispensing an average of 6,360 NHS items per month and benefitting from a consistent turnover year after year.
After running the pharmacy since 1999, previous owner, Cameron Guaudin, decided to sell to allow him to pursue a well-earned retirement. High Valleyfield Pharmacy has been sold to Gazenfer Ali, an experienced owner with two pharmacies in Glasgow. Gazenfer plans to develop the pharmacy’s additional services that will benefit the local community and improve the business’s performance.

Karl Clezy, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “This pharmacy was an attractive proposition with four offers received at the closing date. It was generating a healthy profit and the turnover has been so consistent year after year. Buyers liked the fact that it was unopposed, with the closest pharmacy over two miles away, as well as its prominent location opposite the village health centre. This busy pharmacy attracted significant interest from buyers right across the central belt of Scotland with a mix of group and independent pharmacy owners expressing interest. There continues be a lack of supply of such pharmacies to meet the high demand.”
High Valleyfield Pharmacy was sold along with the freehold property for an undisclosed price.
