Cellar Door, a former nightclub on Exeter’s historic quayside has been sold in a deal brokered by specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

The club, which closed in 2013, has been sold by local Chris Dinnis, a nationally acclaimed soul & funk club DJ and Radio Exe presenter.

Following his decision to close, the property has been acquired by three independent local operators with a wealth of experience running highly-successful bars, pubs and restaurants in the South West region.

The sale was handled by Richard Wood and Stephen Champion, licensed agents at Christie + Co. Richard comments: “It is great to see a former much-loved venue coming back into use; the sale is great news for Exeter’s developing leisure market especially along The Quay with the opening of Samuel Jones Smokehouse last year. We have a number of licensed premises under offer and more announcements following their sales will be made shortly.”
