The well-established bar and 80-cover restaurant, which has operated on Ladywell East Road in the town for some years, has come to market as the current owners are looking to expand their portfolio and as a result have decided to make the property available on a leasehold basis.

The property is essentially split into three main public sections including a lounge bar, accommodating 40 covers which is fitted to an excellent standard throughout with both fitted-booth style and movable furniture included, and a traditional timber-framed bar servery to the rear of the room.

To the front of the restaurant is a contained private dining or meeting room which can cater for private functions or conferences, for up to 24 people.

Stuart Drysdale, Associate Director in Christie & Co’s Edinburgh office is handling the sale and said, “2016 to date has largely been positive for the Scottish licensed market, with Christie & Co witnessing the growing appetite for licensed trade premises across the nation despite some challenges. We have seen consistent levels of buyers across the board seeking well-trading food and drink businesses across Scotland.

“Oscar’s would require very little capital expenditure by an incoming operator and as the business is fully-fitted and presented in a walk-in condition, someone with experience in the sector will be able to quickly make their mark in this busy catchment area.”

Oscar’s Bar & Grill is being marketed on a leasehold basis by Christie & Co at an asking price of £75,000.
