The business was established in 1997, and has operated over the years as a successful, family run business. In part ownership with her parents, Lisa Heaps grew and developed the nursery; creating an excellent ethos and building an enthusiastic team which delivers high quality care for children aged 0-5. Rated ‘Good’ with Ofsted, the nursery operates from an attractive detached two storey, property and offers lots of scope for further development.
The nursery was introduced to the market earlier this year, with an offer from the new owners accepted soon after. Bloomings has now been sold to expanding local operators; Linda and Anthony Tasker, who currently own two other successful settings in Liverpool.
Previous owner, Lisa Heaps comments; “I’m thankful for all of Christie & Co’s help in the selling of the nursery. I found the whole process comparatively stress free; the most stressful time being actually making the decision to sell! I found the service I received from Sofia excellent, with phone calls returned promptly, and I was kept up to date with developments regularly.”
Sofia Beck, Childcare Agent at Christie & Co, who managed the transaction, comments; “When Lisa first approached us, she was quite nervous and wasn’t entirely sure whether to sell, or whether there was enough buyer appetite to ensure that she would achieve a fair price. We helped guide Lisa through the process at her own pace and were able to secure an agreed offer after just a couple of viewings.
“The demand for single private settings within the day nursery market has been high for a number of years, and opportunities like this one have great appeal to existing local operators; making an excellent addition to a growing portfolio. We look forward to seeing how Tony and his Linda develop their expanding group further, and wish Lisa all the very best with her future endeavours.”
