The Pheasant Inn for sale through Christie & Co

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been instructed to sell a traditional 18th century coaching inn nestled beneath the fells in the peaceful village of Casterton, Cumbria.

Casterton lies just a mile from the attractive market town of Kirkby Lonsdale and mid-way between the Lakes and the Dales in beautiful Lune Valley, near the infamous Devil’s Bridge.

Positioned at the centre of this picturesque spot is The Pheasant Inn, boasting ten spacious en-suite letting rooms looking out over the field and over the village to the fell.

The interior of The Pheasant Inn has been delicately modernised, while keeping with tradition and heritage with exposed beams, wood panelling and oak framed fireplaces, adding character and warmth to the property. All rooms have been individually furnished to the highest standard with modern touches.

There is a bar and fine dining restaurant area, a private car parking area to the rear and outdoor seating with landscaped lawned gardens to the north side of the property. There is also an adjacent coach house, which is currently rented by the owners, which could potentially be available for purchase under separate negotiation.

The Wilson family has owned and operated The Pheasant Inn since 2012, having developed and improved the business by investing substantial time and money.

Tom O’Malley, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Manchester office, who is handling the sale comments; “The Pheasant Inn comes to the market as a retirement sale. With the ever increasing demand for popular coaching inns and its desirable location situated just outside Kirkby Lonsdale, it should not be long before a suitable buyer is found.”

Christie & Co is seeking an asking price of £750,000 for the freehold.
